WHO ARE WE?
Mohlatsi is an Agri-business based in the Savannah Bushveld of the Limpopo Province of South Africa that has been operational since 1990. The company expanded from a mere 45 hectares mango farm to a multi-faceted company now comprising:

A 200 hectares global gap accredited farm supplying fresh fruit to numerous local markets, supermarkets and export markets.

A nursery producing annually more than 25000 trees.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?
Mohlatsi Farm produces mangoes and other subtropical crops in such a manner to promote good agricultural practises and to produce top quality fruit with the minimal impact on natural water resources.
The farm hosts some of the highest densities of mango trees per hectare in the world. Average densities vary between 952 and 3333 trees per hectare and we manage to keep trees small through a well-developed pruning strategy. We pride ourselves of picking only mature fruit close to eat ripe and in a manner to allow the packing and marketing of top-quality fruit with no blemishes.
The farm also manages one of the largest mango breeding programs in the Southern Hemisphere playing a leading role in the introduction of numerous new cultivars to the South African Mango Growers’ Association and International Growers.
Social Responsibility
Mohlatsi Farm is managed in a manner that creates more challenging result orientated and rewarding working environment to our personnel, where their contributions are acknowledged and appreciated. Personnel are annually exposed to training programs with the training focussing on skills development and social welfare upliftment. Performance appraisal plays an important role in our personnel management and our successes are measured by the number of senior management and supervisors that were initially employed as temporary pickers or general labourers.

All production aspects at Mohlatsi Farm are done in such a manner to minimize the impact on the environment. To be true to our dedication our company is formally associated with the Moholoholo Group which provides nature lovers the opportunity to experience nature conservation and animal rehabilitation at its best.
Local Attractions
Enjoy all the family-friendly fun Mohlatsi Farm has to offer from harvesting mango fruit yourself to trying to out-perform one of the ladies in our drying factory (Mohlatsi Dried Fruit) in the peeling and cutting of mangoes destined for processing.
Come and experience the flavours of all sorts of unique mango cultivars (more than 40 varieties when in season) and indulge in the tasting of all sorts of dried fruits, nuts, nougat and super delicious farm produce. For the not so faint-hearted come and try Mohlatsi Farm’s achaar and mango chilly-sauce.
After a visit to our unique farm stall, one can indulge in a picnic on our lawn underneath a huge Marula tree or in an adjacent mango orchard dappled with the Bushveld sunlight. Only the best South African local ingredients and locally made artisanal goods are added to your picnic basket. Experience eats and treats with friends and family with a memorable mango farm picnic.
